Grace Academy Darlaston
At Grace Academy Darlaston, we believe that excellent teaching, support, fantastic facilities and outstanding enrichment activities combine to give our students the best possible preparation for their adult life. Working closely with our local primary schools, we develop relationships with our prospective students before they attend, including numerous events and activities which enable them to make friends, look forward to joining us and settle in quickly when they arrive.
As well as a strong emphasis on academic and examination achievement, an extensive choice of extra-curricular lessons, enrichment activities and clubs give students the chance to explore their creativity or acquire a qualification that will impress future employers. These range from football and rugby, trampolining, basketball, STEM and our Duke of Edinburgh challenges.
An increasing number of students choose to continue their learning journey in our vibrant Post 16 area, which also attracts young people from the wider community. Identified by their smart business dress, students work in a dedicated annex of the academy that incorporates silent study areas, a computer suite and social spaces where students can study A-level subjects, specialised vocational courses or a combination of the two. Our aim is to provide students with the tools they need to progress successfully to university, further training or high quality employment.
